The mountains in Barcelona are pretty epic giving some amazing views of the city.  Unfortunately the Team didn't realise the journey to get there on public transport wasn't quite as easy as it looked on the train map.  In fact it consisted of taking three different underground tube trains, walking a marathon underground in-between each one, then taking a mainline train, then more walking above ground, then catching a bus and then taking a mountain railway up the steep mountain.  Phew.  At least we were travelling light.  Except for Laze who carried a mega-skanky hotel towel with him everywhere after being tricked into thinking we were taking him to the beach.  Laze was desperate to shake of his hangover with a dip in the sea.  The only way he was convinced to come was because Hero told him we would be going to the mountains and then taking the cable car straight from the mountains to the beach.  How or why Laze even believed this story is still a mystery to this day considering the mountains were about 10 miles away from the beach and there was no way a cable car would be that long.  Funnier still, when we got to the mountains it wasn't even a cable car that took you up them, it was a mountain railway so there really was no way this could be part of the same cable car ride at the beach.  But how we laughed as Laze carried the most riffy of towels around with him the whole day.  The looks he was getting off people were priceless, wondering "who is this tramp with this dirty, rough bit of cloth, can he not afford a decent towel?".  For the rest of the stag do Laze called Hero by a new name... "Sea-Liar".

Tube stop number one, of many

A bell tower sized to fit Memphis' bell

"Hurry, there's a tramp with a skanky towel leering at us"

"Don't look back for goodness sake, he might follow"

One epic journey later and they reach the foot of the mountain railway

Posing with his scrubby towel, Laze hasn't yet realised this isn't the beach

Clubflat gives the mountain railway a colourful spruce up

Look Laze, somewhere over there is the beach cable car

Perhaps this is the beach cable car coming down the mountain

It begins to dawn on Laze that this isn't the beach cable car he's on

The Church of Clubflat looked down over all Barcelona

The all-important bar was conveniently located at the mountain top

Did Laze really believe a cable car would run from here to the sea?!

Spec in the distance is the sail-shaped hotel at the end of the beach

Twin towers mark the harbours clubs and bars

You'd be a bit stuck if you ran out of milk

Would make a great F1 race track

Amazing views make up for the not so amazing locals

Somewhere down there someone is getting pick-pocketed right now

The Lego city took many hours to build

Where else to put a rollercoaster but on a mountain?

Don't do it mate, think about those you'll be leaving behind

Clubflat helps translate

"When am I going to the sea side?"

Head on collision was imminent

That's one long, steep mountain track

Joking about the brakes failing wasn't the smartest idea

A quick pint later and Laze forgets all about that blooming beach
